One of the toughest tasks that any non-profit organization dedicated to young student athletes is providing quality uniforms and equipment on a limited budget.  In addition, we must also cover operating expenses for track usage, insurance, meet fees, association fees and travel expenses. Those costs don’t include the cost of equipment such as starting blocks, hurdles and other associated equipment for training. These expenses in conjunction with other miscellaneous costs will exceed what we receive in registrations.

 

On behalf of the Kappa Diamond Dashers Youth Track Team, we rely on the support of individuals and local area business to help provide these services to the youth in our community. We are in the process of developing more fundraisers that will be conducted throughout the year and also have a donation website to help fund our goal of competing in the AAU Team Championship in July 2014 in Orlando, FL. Our recruiting efforts forecast that we will register close to 100 athletes this year. With the amount for this enrollment, we expect to be major competitors in the youth track & field area. We have done it in the past & plan to continue to be successful with the athletes we have and look forward to training and developing new registrants.
